What is WOLFSGART?
WOLFSGART is the Northeast’s premier automotive event, car rally, and camping experience. By bringing enthusiasts together, we have created the ultimate Motor Week focused on you, your ride, and the unforgettable stories made along the way.
WOLFSGART welcomes all classic and modern German and European automobiles and motorcycles, including Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and much more.
Now calling the breathtaking Lake George Region and the Adirondacks home, WOLFSGART delivers an unforgettable destination experience surrounded by scenic mountain roads, pristine lakes, and some of the Northeast’s most iconic driving routes. From spirited drives through the Adirondack Mountains to lakeside gatherings, camping, local breweries, great restaurants, boutique shopping, and outdoor adventures, WOLFSGART is more than an automotive event—it’s a destination built around the passion for driving and the community that brings us together.
Whether you’re arriving for the rally, the show, the camping, or simply the camaraderie, WOLFSGART is where enthusiasts from across the region come together to celebrate the cars they love and the roads that inspire them.
Drive North.
Who are we?
WOLFSGART, European inspired automotive event and brand, was developed by true automotive enthusiasts, like you and me. Our passion for classic and modern automobiles is what drives us. As responsible drivers, we come together for a common interest. We live for driving German and European cars and motorcycles. We are the “Roots” of the European automotive community and the foundation of car culture.
Why German and European Cars?
As enthusiasts and gearheads, we are huge fans of all cars and motorcycles, whether Foreign or Domestic, but German engineering is what connects us with the road. There is nothing like driving a well balanced machine, handling “like it’s on rails.” Over the years, European designers have inspired car manufacturers around the world with beautiful, compact, and agile automobiles. These cars have become the model for modern day automobiles.

Anthony Fitzsimmons, founder of Awesomotive, LLC, is the creator and visionary behind WOLFSGART, a premier German and European automotive destination event that originated in Vermont and now calls the Adirondack region of New York home. A designer, educator, family man, and lifelong foreign car enthusiast, Anthony has been actively involved in the German and European automotive community since the mid-1990s.
Growing up on Long Island, Anthony built his first show car, a 1991 Alpine White Volkswagen Mk2 GTI, in 1996. While attending college, he worked at Metrix, The Parts Warehouse (now known as WORLDPAC), one of the largest European parts importers on Long Island, and founded and managed Club Eurobahn, one of the region’s largest European car clubs. Largely self-taught, Anthony learned to work on cars with little more than a Bentley service manual and the encouragement of family and friends who shared his passion for German and European automobiles. His dedication led to numerous first-place finishes at well-known events including H2O International, Woodstock VW Shows, Waterfest 2000, and many others.
Anthony’s love for the outdoors, including kayaking, hiking, skiing, and exploring scenic mountain roads, inspired him to relocate to the Adirondacks in 2001. While captivated by the region’s natural beauty, he recognized an opportunity to build a stronger automotive community in the North Country. Experiences at events such as H2Oi, Waterfest, Autorama in California, Florida’s air-cooled Volkswagen gatherings, and international automotive festivals inspired him to create something different: an event that combined exceptional vehicles, passionate enthusiasts, travel, camping, local culture, and breathtaking destinations.
That vision became WOLFSGART, which quickly grew from its Vermont roots into one of the Northeast’s premier automotive destination events. Today, as WOLFSGART enters a new chapter in the Adirondacks of New York, Anthony continues to develop unique experiences including the Pumpkin Cruise, WagenFest, Nordesee, and other enthusiast-driven gatherings that celebrate both automotive culture and the places that host them.
None of this, however, would be possible without the unwavering support of his wife, Casey Ann Fitzsimmons, and their daughter, who have been the backbone of WOLFSGART since its earliest days. From countless late nights, long hours, and endless preparations behind the scenes to the challenges of growing and relocating a major event, their love, patience, and dedication have made every success possible. WOLFSGART has always been a family endeavor, and Anthony credits them as the foundation upon which the event continues to thrive.
Anthony is equally grateful for the incredible team members, department managers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who dedicate their time, talents, and passion to making WOLFSGART a reality each year. Their collective efforts and commitment embody the spirit of the event and reinforce the belief that great experiences are built through collaboration, friendship, and a shared love for automotive culture.
At its heart, WOLFSGART has always been about bringing people together around a common passion while celebrating the roads, landscapes, communities, and friendships that make the journey unforgettable.
